About Me
My Personal and Professional Background
Below you will be able to learn a bit about both my personal and professional background. Including University and Work experiences that have helped build me into the professional that I am today.

My Story
Hello! My name is Zach Lambert and I will be graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management in the Fall of 2024. I have always found myself to be a passionate individual. When I was 5 years old my parents gifted me a drum set for Christmas and it served as my introduction into the world of entertainment. Additionally it presented me with my first opportunity to become truly passionate about something long-term. I'm still drumming to this day, 17 years in the future, and I can comfortably say that drumming taught me more life lessons than I could have imagined. One of those lessons being to always make an effort to do what you love. Ever since that Christmas, my interest in, and passion for the Event and Entertainment industry has steadily grown to the point where I wanted to study Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina.

Growing up in Towson, Maryland my parents decided to enroll me in a local private school, that being St. Paul's School, which I was lucky enough to attend for 13 years. While at St. Paul's I was presented with numerous service opportunities, including helping with community service events at a local homeless shelter in Baltimore City named Paul's Place. Volunteering at Paul's Place blessed me with the opportunity to meet numerous amazing people whom both attended and worked these events. Over time, I developed a passion for helping people, which grew to the point where I wanted to continue my service efforts into college, leading me to run for and eventually become my fraternities philanthropy chair at the University of South Carolina. Although COVID presented the organization with a number of event issues, I was able to connect with the No Shave November Non-Profit and planed a major fraternity philanthropy event.

In addition to my service experiences at the University of South Carolina, I was also given immediate exposure to the variety of opportunities in this industry through both learning and work experiences. Notably, the three internships that I have been able to complete, all of which came to me through connections made at the University of South Carolina. While at FanCompass I worked as a Sales & Marketing Intern, at Gamecock Sports Properties I worked in Fan Engagement, and at SponsorUnited I interned as a Sponsorship Scout. Each internship gave me valuable experience and I am still extremely interested in working in any of these departments of the industry.
I believe that before and throughout my time at the University of South Carolina I have successfully displayed my professional ability and passion for the Sport and Entertainment industry as a whole. Throughout my portfolio you will see how I have excelled as a leader, my passion to help others, and how I was able to shine as an Intern. Additionally, you will see what my plans are for the future, which includes continuing my growth as a leader and growing my knowledge of the industry. I believe that both my education and experiences will have a large factor in my professional future and will allow me to have a major impact on the greater community.
